Szeps, Moritz, b. Busk (Ukraine), Nov. 5, 1835, d. Vienna, Aug. 9, 1902, journalist, publisher, editor; father of Berta Zuckerkandl-Szeps. 1855-1867 editor-in-chief of the Vienna "Morgenpost" newspaper, which was published 1850-1886. In July 1867, became manager of "Neues Wiener Tagblatt", shortly after its foundation. When dismissed 1886, he bought the "Morgenpost" and published it under the name "Wiener Tagblatt". The newspaper, called "Wiener Morgenzeitung" from 1901, was discontinued 1905.
