Purkersdorf (Lower Austria), May 26, 1907, law scholar and politician. 1891-1893 Minister of Finance, 1904-1907 President of the Supreme Court of Justice. Had a decisive influence on social legislation during the Taaffe era, supported the extension of the right to vote, implemented a currency reform 1892 and reorganized the system of personal taxation.
