Vienna, Feb. 8, 1742, diplomat and statesman; son of Count Georg Ludwig Sinzendorf. 1695 high civil servant ('Reichshofrat'), 1699-1701 envoy to France, 1705 Court Chancellor. Represented the Crown in important negotiations (Congress of Utrecht 1711, Congress of Soissons 1728, marriage of Maria Theresia), 1721 head of the Oriental Trade Company.
