Rechinger, Karl-HeinzRechinger, Karl-Heinz, b. Vienna, Oct. 16, 1906, d. Vienna, Dec. 30, 1998, botanist. Assistant to R. Wettstein. From 1929 at the botanical department of the Museum of Natural History, 1956/57 Visiting Professor in Bagdad, 1963-1971 Director of the Museum of Natural History. His life´s work was the documentation of the wild plants of Persia.
