Klinger, JuliusKlinger, Julius, b. Vienna, May 22, 1876, d. Minsk (Byelorussia), June 2, 1942, graphic artist. Studied at the Technologisches Gewerbemuseum; developed a new form of functional poster design, for which he opened a workshop in Vienna after World War I. In 1923 published the pattern book "Poster Art in Vienna". Arrested by the National Socialists, deported and probably died in Minsk.
