Heger, FranzHeger, Franz, b. Brandys nad Orlicí, Czech Republic (then Brandeis), Oct. 4, 1853, d. Vienna, July 23, 1931, ethnographer, museum official. Through his extensive expeditions (Europe, Transcaucasia, Indonesia, India, S. America) was able to turn the ethnographic collection in the Museum for Natural History in Vienna into an independent Austrian Ethnological Museum. Literature: ÖBL.
