Fugger, Jakob II.Fugger, Jakob (II.), "the Rich", b. Augsburg (Germany), March 6, 1459, d. Augsburg Dec. 30, 1525, merchant. Uncle of Anton Fugger; from 1485 headed the Fugger trading company in Innsbruck, which dominated mining operations and the trade of copper and silver in Tirol.
