Fischel, AlfredFischel, Alfred, b. Čimelice, Czech Republic (then Tschimelitz), Sept. 26, 1868, d. Vienna, Jan. 12, 1938, experimental embryologist, 1921-1935 professor of embryology in Vienna. His research greatly added to the understanding of gonorrhoea. significant research on the development mechanism of organs and organ systems and on the relation between organ morphology and functions.
