Doppelbauer, Josef FriedrichDoppelbauer, Josef Friedrich, b. Wels (Upper Austria), Aug. 5, 1918, d. Salzburg, Jan. 16, 1989. Composer, organist and choir master, teacher (later professor) at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. Received the Austrian State Prize for Music, 1967; honorary doctorate from the Pontificio instituto di musica sacra in Rome, 1986.
