Bittner, AlexanderBittner, Alexander, b. Frydlant (Czech Republic), March 16, 1850, d. Vienna, March 31, 1902, paleontologist and geologist, 1877-1902 employed at the Imperial Institute of Geology. Various stratigraphic and paleontological papers including works on crustaceans, sea urchins, and above all basic studies of world-wide significance on brachiopoda from the Alpine Triassic.
