Beck, Karl, * 1814, SängerBeck, Karl, b. Vienna 1814, d. Vienna, March 4, 1879, singer (tenor). Formerly a confectioner, made his début in 1938 in Prague; furthered his career as a singer abroad and was an ardent Wagnerian (1850 first appearance as "Lohengrin").
