Unterwaltersdorf (municipality of Ebreichsdorf, Lower Austria), July 3, 1893, composer (primarily liturgical music), opera kapellmeister; brother of Alexander von Bach; 1868 Director of the "Mozarteum" music college in Salzburg and conductor at Salzburg Cathedral, 1880 church conductor in Vienna. Works: church music, operas, symphonies, incidental music (for Hebbels "Nibelungen").
