Altmütter, GeorgAltmütter, Georg, b. Vienna, Oct. 6, 1787, d. Vienna, Jan. 2, 1858, technologist, from 1816 taught mechanical technology at the Polytechnical Institute in Vienna; established the systematic classification of tools; his extensive tool collection is on display at the Technical Museum in Vienna.
